This renovation and upper-story addition to a 1990s brick home in Terranora was designed and planned while the clients were still living overseas. After meeting Danny during a visit home and seeing his craftsmanship firsthand, they entrusted him to bring their vision to life while they remained abroad.

The brief was to preserve the character of the original 1990s home while incorporating a farmhouse aesthetic and modern updates. The project included an upper-level addition featuring a spacious master suite with an ensuite and private deck, two additional bedrooms, and a master bathroom. A new internal staircase was custom-built to align with the farmhouse style, along with a renovated laundry on the lower level.

During construction, it became evident that the original plans had an incorrectly designed stairwell, preventing a straight-down staircase as initially intended. Danny skillfully reconfigured the upper-level layout and redesigned the staircase to ensure it seamlessly integrated with the home without compromising the ground-floor living space.

The result is a beautifully transformed family home that perfectly balances charm and functionality—one the clients now love and enjoy every day.
