The owners of this expansive oceanfront property sought to enhance their home by adding a third level and renovating the first floor. With a deep appreciation for quality craftsmanship and durable materials suited to coastal conditions, they envisioned a master retreat on the new third level, complete with a spacious ensuite, walk-in robe, and private balcony to maximize the breathtaking views.

The first-floor renovations included the transformation of two bathrooms and a powder room, as well as the extension of both the first-floor and ground-floor balconies. Midway through the project, the clients expanded their vision to include a ground-floor deck extension and the addition of a striking three-story Spotted Gum stairwell screen.

Other key elements of this meticulously crafted build include a repitched roof, upgraded from tile to metal for enhanced durability, and a custom front entry gate featuring a suspended slab roof and ceiling. The first-floor deck showcases elegant plywood ceilings complemented by aluminum screening, along with 300 x 300 timber posts and beams that add to the home’s architectural appeal.
